Fans of PC gaming and the Xbox One controller, can rejoice: Microsoft has announced an Xbox One controller made specifically for the PC. The unit is no different from the standard Xbox One, but does require a special cable to work. By purchasing a micro-USB or Play & Charge cable and then installing the necessary PC drivers, gamers will be able to use the Xbox One controller for any game on the PC they deem appropriate. Unfortunately, it does not offer wireless support. Microsoft says the aptly-named “Xbox One Controller + Cable for Windows” is the best PC controller it's ever made and is the "culmination of over 200 prototypes." It can be used one the Xbox One. By comparison, the PS4 DualShock controller is not fully supported on the PC and requires improvised drivers created by modders in order to work properly. PC gamers in the U.S. interested in getting the PC-optimized Xbox One controller will need $59.99 to get the fun started. For those that don’t have that kind of money to spend, you can actually use your regular wireless Xbox One controller with your PC, now that the appropriate drivers are available.
