With Hideo Kojima leaving Konami after the release of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, many fans of Metal Gear have expressed concerns about the series' future. Konami promises more games but will they be up to standard without Kojima guiding their development? A statement released by the Japanese developer read:
“The latest entry in the series, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, will be released with Hideo Kojima as originally announced on September 1, 2015. After the release of MGSV: TPP, Konami plans to also continue releasing titles in the Metal Gear series. We would like to offer our deep gratitude for your continued support of the Metal Gear series."With Kojima and his team no longer taking part in future Metal Gear games, Konami is looking for replacements.
