If ever there is one thing Halo fans want to see before they die, it is Master Chief’s face. Unfortunately for them, the enigmatic super soldier will not take his helmet off in Halo 5: Guardians, making us wonder if we will ever see his face.
When asked by the guys at Game Rant
if Master Chief will finally reveal his full face, Halo 5: Guardians
creative director Tim Longo confirmed that he “doesn’t take his helmet off.”
That’s right, you won’t see what John-117 actually looks like anytime soon, if ever...

Bungie originally kept Master Chief’s face a secret so players got the feeling of actually being the character himself, and -- frankly -- it would likely do the series harm if it was revealed.

I personally feel that it is the in the best interest of the Halo
franchise if Master Chief’s face remains a secret. The enigmatic persona of Master Chief is one of the defining features of Halo
