With the StarCraft II trilogy essentially wrapped up with the Legacy of the Void Expansion, Blizzard is undecided on what game it should make next. StarCraft 3 and a new Warcraft real-time strategy game are just some of the projects they are considering.
StarCraft 2 doesn’t mark the end of StarCraft -- far from it! Speaking with the guys over at IGN
, Blizzard’s Tim Morten said there was a possibility that the company’s RTS team could head straight into developing StarCraft III, specifically stating:
“This isn’t the end of StarCraft, but it’s the end of this story for these characters. We don’t have any specific plans, but I’ll say that the universe has so much potential for more stories.”
As for the possibility of a new Warcraft RTS, Morten added:
“We’ll consider Warcraft, StarCraft, or even new ideas. Anything is possible.”
Blizzard clearly needs some help making up its minds, so let’s give them a hand. What game do you want them to make next? Let us know in the comments below.
