He have got hold of a pre-Alpha gameplay footage of Apeiron, the fan-made Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake, and it looks better than great.
The video is over four minutes long and provides a look at four areas in the promising game: the city of Anchorhead on Tatooine, the starting area of Endar Spire, and the lower/upper cities of Taris.
You’ll notice that the game is played from a first-person perspective by default, although the player can switch to third-person as in the original Knights of the Old Republic
. In fact, the gameplay is radically different, ditching the turn-based approach of the old for something more action-oriented and direct.
The graphics have also been improved a million times over and will apparently look even better on your TV.
Keep in mind that what you’re watching is a pre-alpha tech demo, so everything is subject to change. The team behind the project will accept donations later on in development and will not charge for the final game, not unless they want a lawsuit from Disney, which owns the Star Wars
