One of the tantalizing highlights of The Witcher series is the depiction of the more risqué elements of mature entertainment, in particular the sex scenes. Good news for those that want more boy on girl action -- the sex scenes in The Witcher 3 far outnumber those in the first two games and play a more important role. Speaking with The Guardian newspaper, developer CD Projekt Red revealed that the game contains an astonishing 16 hours of sex scene motion capture data, meaning there will be possible sexual encounters at nearly every turn. Considering that The Witcher 3’s story -- including all the chopping, hacking, slicing and burning of enemies -- lasts up to 100 hours, 16 hours would be much-needed respite from all the action. DON'T MISS: The Witcher 3’s PC System Requirements are Intense As a matter of fact, The Witcher 3 starts off with a sex scene between Geralt and the sorceress Yennifer... “People might think we’re putting sex into the opening scene for no good reason,” said CD Projekt Red senior game designer Damien Monhier. “No, no, no. We are establishing that your character was intimate with this woman recently in order to plant in your mind that, at very least, he must enjoy her company.” With Yennifer going missing shortly after the opening scene, the hope is that the intimate time you had with her would serve as strong incentive to find her. "Through sex we have shown that this is a person who Geralt would be compelled to chase after if she went missing," Monhier explained. We have little doubt that the story in The Witcher 3 will provide a level of nuance and depth that far exceeds the damsel in distress vibe it gives off. Geralt’s final adventure begins on May 19, 2015 on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. He will go out with a bang in more than one way.
