Fans of board game fan would probably want to try out the new Portal board game, which is essentially a frantic race to see who gets the most cake. The board game is literally called "Portal: Uncooperative Cake Acquisition Game."
A collaborative effort between developer Valve and popular tabletop company Cryptozoic Entertainment, the board game has two to four players (test subjects) use strategies to compete against each other and test the most desirable test chambers on a tiled board, using portals and other items from the Portal
games (e.g. the iconic cake and companion cube) to progress.
The test chambers move and shift around overtime, and you must avoid falling to your doom with all the cake you have accumulated. The player with the most cake at the end of the game wins.
According to to Cryptozoic
board game was "designed to stand on its own, not as a promotional tool," Barnett said. "While it may appeal more immediately to Portal fans, we tried to create something that was entertaining for everyone who tries it."
