Resident Evil Revelations 2 gameplay Publisher Capcom has revealed that Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be an episodic title, with a new episode being released every week. The third-person survival horror title will be divided into four chapters, each featuring "hours of terrifying gameplay ending with dramatic cliff-hangers." More specifically, an episode will be released for download every week following the base-game's launch, with each costing €5.99. For those that want everything together and can bare the wait, Capcom will offer a complete chapter featuring additional content for €24.99, as well as a disc version of all chapters once the entire story has been told. As the plot goes:
"The beginning of the Resident Evil: Revelations 2 tale sees fan favourite Claire Redfield make a dramatic return to the horrors that haunted her in the past. Survivor of the Raccoon City incident depicted in previous Resident Evil games, Claire now works for the anti-bioterrorism organisation Terra Save. Moira Burton, new recruit and daughter of Resident Evil legend Barry Burton, is attending her welcome party for Terra Save when unknown armed forces storm the office. Claire and Moira are knocked unconscious and awaken later to find themselves in a dark and abandoned detention facility. Working together, they must find out who took them and to what sinister end."
Getting back to the franchise's roots, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is a true survival horror game that engages players in frightening encounters with nightmarish creatures, including the new and terrifying 'Afflicted'. Although fast, the Afflicted are surprisingly heavy-hitting, requiring players to use their very limited ammo and weapon supply wisely. Don’t expect to find a machine gun or bazooka lying around… Resident Evil: Revelations 2 can be enjoyed as a single-player experience -- with Moira being controlled by the A.I. -- or in a two-player co-op fashion. It will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
