After a slew of rumors, Rockstar Games has finally re-released a remastered version of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas HD for the Xbox 360 and original Xbox. The remastered GTA San Andreas HD features a brand new list of achievements and number of graphical improvements, including 720p resolution and enhanced draw distance. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas takes place in 1992 in the titular State of San Andreas, which is modeled after the U.S. states of California and Nevada. The game's setting is inspired by the 1992 Los Angeles riots, ghetto-based films such as "Boyz N The Hood" and "Menace To Society" and gangsta rap groups like N.W.A. Unfortunately, the Xbox 360 version of the enhanced game is not compatible with the original Xbox version, meaning save files are not transferable between the two consoles. However, owners of the original Xbox will still have access to the original San Andreas on their consoles and through their download history, with the option to purchase the new version to experience the added features on a new save file. For those wondering why Rockstar would put even a shred of effort into making an improved version of GTA San Andreas, note that they are doing it mostly for the fans. Even though it has been more than 10 years since the game first released, there are still many hardcore fans of the critically-acclaimed game -- an HD rework is a surprise treat. Apart from the HD remaster of San Andreas, Rockstar Games is also working on a next-gen version of Grand Theft Auto V for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The remastered GTA San Andreas HD launched on October 26th, 2014, which marked the game's 10 years anniversary. Will you be buying it? If you have, let us know what you think about the improvements.
