Despite Microsoft’s successful efforts to close the gap between its Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, Sony’s home console continues to record solid sales and is still leading the current-gen console race by quite a margin. In fact, PS4 sales have finally crossed the 15 million units mark, and it’s safe to assume that figure will skyrocket during the Christmas holiday season. November 15th marked the first anniversary of the PS4, and what better present for Sony than its console selling in excess of 15 million units over the one year it’s been o the market? Those PS4 sales were accompanied by sales of more than 50 million games, with big-name titles like GTA 5 (the next-gen versions), Far Cry 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Assassin’s Creed Unity, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare being notable standouts in recent months. Arch rival Xbox One is also expected to have a solid year, which only means good news for all gamers, regardless of their platform of choice.
