Some titillating news details about the Nintendo NX console have been leaked, and it may surprise you.

Liam Robertson, the guy behind the “Did You Know?” gaming YouTube channel, was generous enough to share the information after finding it in a rather revealing GFK (a Nintendo client) survey. The email he received from Nintendo revealed that, like the Wii U, the NX will be accompanied by a handheld device; supports 4K/60fps video streaming and Gameplay graphics at 900p/60fps; and has a comprehensive suite of online features that possibly rivals Xbox Live and PSN. It read as follows:
“Exclusive game franchises featuring Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong and more, Connect with other players around the world via the Nintendo Network, Gameplay flows between Nintendo NX console and the Nintendo NX handheld device, Earn and share gaming achievements triumphs and defeats with your gaming friends and the Nintendo gaming community, Surf the web or make video calls on your TV, Supports 4K/60fps video streaming and Gameplay graphics at 900p/60fps.”
The Nintendo NX console comes packaged with a Sensor Bar, Game controller and HDMI cable and seemingly addresses most of the problems critics have had with the Wii and Wii U, which we discussed in our “Top 5 Things the Nintendo NX Needs to be a Success” feature. Bear in mind that Nintendo hasn’t made any of this official, so things could change between now and the NX’s release sometime in 2016 or 2017. Even so, are you happy with how the console might turn out? Let us know in the comments below.
