Some story and gameplay details regarding Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End have surfaced, thanks to early copies of Game Informer’s February edition. They include Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deceptionspoilers, so be warned.

For starters, Uncharted 4 takes place about three years after the events of Uncharted 3, which ended with Drake and Elena donning their wedding rings and, along with Sully, retiring from their challenging yet exciting life of treasure hunting. But not all goes according to plan… MUST SEE: This is How Nathan Drake Looks in Unchartered 4 Sam (voiced by Troy Baker), Drake’s older brother who Drake thought was dead, stirs up the peace and quiet by brining to the crew’s attention a legendary pirate artifact that he must get, presumably for a powerful group of people that want him dead otherwise. Not able to resist helping a family member and always drawn to the allure of treasure, Drake sets out on his greatest adventure yet, one that will test both his physical and emotional limits. Developer Naughty Dog has confirmed that Uncharted 4 will be set in various locations around the world, including Libertaria, a fictional pirate colony located in Madagascar. You will encounter Rafe and Nadine, treasure-hunting rivals to Sam and Drake and the game’s main antagonists. They will serve much the same role as Talbot and Marlowe did in Uncharted 3. With regards to gameplay, Drake is now capable of using a climbing spike and rope to discover hidden areas, as well as to fight enemies. Some new mechanics were borrowed from The Last of Us, including the ability to avoid enemies altogether instead of engaging in open combat. Uncharted 4 will have more exploration than any of the past games, but it will retain the series’ trademark linearity (i.e. no free-roaming). There will be multiplayer. Head to the comments below and let us know if you are excited for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
