Fans have been clamoring for another Mirror’s Edge game for years, and now their wish has come true. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst was announced at E3 2015 and will release on February 23rd, 2016.
While an all-new experience from the first game, Catalyst
still has you play as Faith Connors from a fist-person perspective as she progresses through a futuristic city called City of Glass, using parkour movements to complete missions and evade enemies or knock them off of their feet.
Combat has been overhauled to place more emphasized on traversal and less on the use of weapons. In fact, you can’t use guns at all and must rely on Faith's running and parkour movements and quick melee-style attacks to deal with enemies.

According to senior producer Sara Jansson, while enemies can still use guns as weapons in Mirror’s Edge Catalyst
, Faith will be invincible against them when keeping her momentum. The game switches to a third-person perspective when she performs a finishing move.
As for playing with others, instead of having co-operative multiplayer or competitive multiplayer modes, Catalyst
features synchronous multiplayer in which players' actions in the game can affect the world for other players' games. Leaderboard for races is also featured.
It all sounds interesting, doesn’t it? As already mentioned, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst
releases on February 23rd, 2016, on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Will you be getting it?
