The Xbox One worried many gamers when it was first announced in 2013, what with its seemingly stronger focus on TV features than on video game functionalities. Well, Microsoft has changed its tune and now says that 98 percent of the Xbox One’s focus will be on gaming.
When the Financial Post
inquired if the Xbox’s rash of new game announcements and features was an effort to win back the faith of customers, Shannon Loftis, head of first-party publishing at Microsoft Studios, said that their core fan base are “gamers” and they’re the type of audience that Microsoft plans to please.

Shannon added that customers want new games, and new games is what they aim to deliver:
“98 per cent of our emphasis is going to be on the gaming content coming to the Xbox One.”
Looking at 2015 and beyond, the Xbox One has tons of new games releases that will surely go a long way to win back worried gamers who chose the PlayStation 4 over it. Brace yourself for titles like Forza Motorsport 6
, Halo 5: Guardians
, Rise of the Tomb Raider
, Gears of War
and Quantum Break
Not only does the Xbox One have more upcoming major exclusive games than the PS4, but its backwards compatibility with the Xbox 360 also lets you play many last-gen games. The PS4 has no such feature.
If you were one of those gamers who lost their faith in Microsoft, have you regained it now?
