When Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain launches on September 1, 2015, it won’t come with Metal Gear Online, the multiplayer aspect of the game.
Konami has outlined the launch plans for the highly-anticipated title, revealing that Metal Gear Online
will be primed for action on October 6, 2015, more than a month after Metal Gear Solid V
launches on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Even worse, the PC version of the online game mode won’t release until January 2016. The delays are likely attributed to the internal strife
between series creator Hideo Kojima’s team and Konami’s top brass.
While people generally don’t like to wait, the delay of Metal Gear Online will give Metal Gear Solid V
players some much-needed time to play through a massive game that Konami claims is 200 times bigger than the Ground Zeroes prologue.
