Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai has confirmed that Meta Knight, the supposedly overpowered Kirby character from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, will be playable in the latest Smash Bros. for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Fortunately for the fighting game community, his abilities have been changed substantially. According to Sakurai, "Meta Knight's Up Special Move, and Shuttle Loop, changed quite a bit in this game. The glide is gone, and the attack slashes opponents twice while spinning in a large loop. This has turned into a highly technical and effective move." Hopefully with these changes, Meta Knight will no longer be banned from fighting game tournaments. In related news, Nintendo has announced a beautiful 3DS XL bundle, complete with the 3DS version's box art imprinted on its face in a classy shade of black and white. Slick.
