Resolution has been a hot topic this video game generation, and for good reason. Gamers can’t seem to understand why most multi-platform games have been visually downgraded on one console or the other, with the Xbox One usually getting the lower end of the stick. Fortunately, they don’t have to worry about such inequality with Mad Max.
With the Xbox One versions of recent releases like Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
, Pro Evolution Soccer 2016
and Project Cars
all being downgraded, many expected just the PS4 version of Mad Max to run at the “full HD,” 1080p resolution. However, in an interview
with GamingBolt, Avalanche Studios senior producer of Mad Max, John Fuller, said both console versions of the game run at 1080p.

Any developmental gap between the PS4 and Xbox One that may have existed at the beginning seems to be narrowing as the months roll by. With many developers unlocking part of the system’s hardware, the Xbox One has been seeing higher performance levels as of late.
On a related note, Fuller also revealed that Mad Max’s map is essentially infinite, stating:
“Our tech can support enormous worlds but it is always a case of balancing the density of content and travel distances so that the player feels they are in a rich world.”
Apparently, you can keep driving off into the distance until you get bored or killed.
Mad Max is playable on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Is it your kind of game?
