One of the defining features of the past three Street Fighter games has been the abnormally large hands and feet of the characters. You might find Capcom's peculiar design choice off-putting, but the exaggerated proportions actually serve a purpose.
Yoshinori Ono, the lead producer of Street Fighter
that hands, feet and fireballs were made larger than needed so that they can serve as visual markers on the screen, making it easier for players to follow attacks. I don’t know about you but that makes a lot of sense.
Even more, F.A.N.G -- a brand new characters introduced in Street Figher
V -- was designed to have everything the other characters didn't, explaining why he is so lean and why his hands and feet are so small. Ono stated:
"The idea was to look at everything that's not in the other 15 characters, and put it into this one character."
Needless to say, Street Figher
’s big hand/feet syndrome is an acquired taste and F.A.N.G is one of the weirdest-looking characters in series history. Are you a fan of it?
Street Figher V is exclusive to the PS4 and PC and is not playable on the Xbox One.
