[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIxxsw7TNd4?rel=0&w=650&h=366] Destiny was undoubtedly one of the biggest highlights at E3 2014. To say that we are excited for it would be understatement -- we are dying to get our hands on it. In case you missed it, shown above is a lengthy, 7-minute preview of what you can expect from the first-person shooter / RPG hybrid. In the video, Bungie co-founder Jason Jones -- one of the key people behind the highly-successful Halo series -- touches on many of the game’s key features, even dropping some hints about the story and how teams will be structured online. At a central city safe-zone called "The Tower", players build teams and set out to complete numerous available missions that reward experience, new skills and loot. A nifty game 'Director' mechanic learns what kind of missions you like and what best fits your team, using that knowledge to provide appropriate suggestions for future missions. Jones also talked a bit about Destiny's player-versus-player arena and hinted at a secret "vault of glass" test that, if passed, unlocks "Destiny's ultimate reward." We wonder what that could be. If the video doesn't get you excited, we don't know what will. Destiny releases on September 9, 2014, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
