To keep the hype going, Rocksteady Studios took part in a Reddit AMA to share some new details regarding Batman Arkham Knight, which promises to be bigger, badder and more engaging than any of the previous Arkham games. The topics of discussion included Batman’s suit, combat and storytelling. When inquired by a fan why the redesigned batsuit has a more robotic look than in any of the previous installments, Rocksteady stated that it’s because it mirrors the design and interaction between the Dark Knight and his menacing Batmobile. Moreover, it features upgrades that enhance some of his abilities. DON'T MISS: Epic New Gameplay Trailer for Batman Arkham Knight Drops – Watch Now! The developer also shared some details about the improved combat system and new moves. Apparently, the opponents in Arkham Knight will be faster and less brain-dead than in past games and taking them down will prove more difficult, although probably not by much:
“They're fast, and they can dodge and counter you - in the most recent builds they'll dodge you without making you drop your combo, so it's easy to get caught out the first few times.”As for story, Rocksteady said it wasn’t harder to write than any of the other Arkham stories. In fact, it was quite the opposite:
“When they [the writing team] started work on Batman: Arkham City, they had the vision of the final scene Joker's death almost from the start, and looked at the story from the perspective of the events that would lead to that point. With Batman: Arkham Knight, that ending is the point that we jump off from, asking ‘what happens when Joker is removed from Gotham’ and looking at the fallout from those events.”Batman Arkham Knight releases on June 2, 2015, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
