There is so much to do in Far Cry 4 that you’d mistakenly think all of the game is unscripted. Ubisoft has released a new video in which Far Cry 4 director Patrik Methe talks about his top five favourite moments from the game, moments that even surprised someone like himself. In the video, we see surprise tiger attacks, “explosive shenanigans with a gyrocopter, aggressive eagles not fond of bad guys and, of course, the usual mayhem that ensues when playing Far Cry 4 co-op with a friend. You play as Ajay Ghale, an English-speaking Nepalese native who, after returning to Kyrat to scatter his mother’s ashes, becomes caught up in a civil war. The native Kyratese have long struggled under the despotic regime of self-appointed king Pagan Min, and they’ve had enough. DON'T MISS: Tour the Lowlands of Kyrat in this Far Cry 4 Video Unlike in Far Cry 3, where the open-world nature of the gameplay was often at odds with the plot (the player was allowed to perform protracted acts of exploration despite situations in the narrative which were supposedly time-critical), Far Cry 4 ensures that gameplay and story complement each other. Additionally, the writers minimised the amount of voice-over from the player-character to allow gamers to better immerse themselves in the role. Tarantino-like dark humour has been infused into Far Cry 4’s lore in order to help address the contrast between the game’s heavy violence and any enjoyment that you will get from your exploits. Far Cry 4 is a massive game that will have you playing for hours on end. You can experience the action adventure on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Is it your kind of game?
