New GTA 5 Online, car shootout Rockstar Games has confirmed that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of its hugely-popular sand-box game Grand Theft Auto V run in glorious 1080p and at 30 frames-per-second, while the PC version runs in an even more glorious 4g resolution. “Alongside the new First Person mode (which you can check out in the trailer below), Grand Theft Auto V [will be running in] 1080p resolution at 30FPS on PS4 and Xbox One,” says Rockstar. As always seems to be the case, PC gamers get the better things in live, with their version of the game supporting 4K resolution. The graphical improvements to the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Grand Theft Auto V also include increased draw distance, finer textures and detailing, and more activity in Los Santos and surrounding areas. Simply put, the game is more alive on those platforms than on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 -- the last-gen consoles. MUST WATCH: Watch the New GTA 5 First-Person Mode in Action While you will most certainly be drawn in by the graphical enhancements, be careful you don't become addicted to the new GTA 5 first person mode, which lets you play the game completely in first-person view. Here is everything you need to know about the feature:
  • Only available on the PS4, XB1, and PC versions
  • Available with single button press, letting you switch between third- and first-person
  • Includes first-person cover system
  • Introduces new targeting system
  • Will feature a more traditional FPS control scheme
  • Thousands of new animations
  • First-person mode will be available in both GTA V and GTA Online
As we stated in an earlier article, Rockstar Games went out of it way to make Grand Theft Auto V for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC a strong value proposition. That of course begs the question, are you willing to buy the game again, even if you own(ed) it for either the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3? We are dying to know your answer in the comments.
