It's official, the four-armed Shokan warrior Goro is one of the playable characters in Mortal Kombat X. More than that, he will be a pre-order bonus for those who buy the extra-gruesome fighting game early. Goro's inclusion in Mortal Kombat X marks the first time in eight years that he has appeared as a playable character in the series. In MK9, players fought him in a grueling boss fight, but they finally get to control him this time around. Mortal Kombat X is the first Mortal Kombat game for the current-gen consoles -- Xbox One and PlayStation 4. As a first for the series, it features various fighting styles for each character, giving the player a high level of customization. For example, Scorpion has a "Ninjutsu" variation, in which he wields dual swords; a "Hellfire" variation, which relies more on his fiery special moves; and an "Inferno" variation that lets him summon hellspawn minions to aid him in battle. Watch him blow a hole through D'Vorah's head Also new to the series is the ability for fighters to interact with the environment, bouncing off areas to reposition themselves or using parts of the environment (e.g. a tree branch) as weapons. Developed by NetherRealm Studios, the minds behind Injustice: Gods Among Us, Mortal Kombat X releases on April 14, 2015 for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
