It's official, Destiny is a hit! Not content with being the most pre-ordered new IP in video game history, the role-playing first-person shooter made over $500,000,000 on its first day of sale, making it the biggest new franchise launch ever. Developed by Bungie and published by Activision as part of a ten-year publishing deal, Destiny has brought home the bacon for its makers -- 500 million pounds of it. With this level of success, you can expect the game to be milked to oblivion by Activision, just like it did and continues to do with the Call of Duty franchise. Expect a lot of Destiny-related stuff in the future, including a PC version of the game.
