Make that three records that Destiny has managed to snag: In addition to being the most pre-ordered new IP in video game history, as well the highest grossing new IP ever, the role-playing first-person shooter has unseated Watch Dogs to become the fastest-selling new IP in the United Kingdom. According to retail analyst Chart-Track, the UK's biggest video game launches of 2014 thus far has Destiny at the number one spot, followed by Watch Dogs and Titanfall at number two and three, respectively. Wolfenstein: The New Order (num. 4) and Infamous: Second Son (num. 5) round out the top five list. 46 percent of Destiny sales were on the PlayStation 4, while the Xbox One accounted for 36 percent. In terms of the last-gen consoles, the PS3 and Xbox 360 took 4 percent and 14 percent of overall sales pie, respectively. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, Destiny is for all intents and purposes a hit.
