Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, an updated version of Dark Souls II, is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on April 7, 2015, bringing with it all three DLC packs available for the original game on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, as well as some notable improvements to graphics, multiplayer and gameplay. Buyers of Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin for the PS4, Xbox One and PC can expect better presentation and new game content, including "an expanded story featuring additional in-game events and NPC character along with new deadlier enemies and gameplay improvements” Xbox 360, PS3 and PC owners of the original Dark Souls 2 will not be left out of the cold, as they too will get the new game content, augmented item descriptions and gameplay improvements as part of a free game update. For those wanting the total package, The Scholar of the First Sin re-release will also be available on the last-gen consoles. Developed by From Software, Dark Souls II has been the subject of much critical acclaim, even winning Game of the Year at the 32nd annual Golden Joystick Awards. It’s the sequel to the original Dark Souls, which itself was a spiritual successor of the PlayStation 3 exclusive Demon Souls.
