Charlie Street Fighter 5 After his conspicuous absence from Street Fighter 4, Charlie Nash has been revealed as a playable character in the Street Fighter 5. Capcom has released a new gameplay video that teases the flash-kicking, weird hairdo friend of Guile. For those not familiar with Charlie, he was first mentioned via a backstory in Street Fighter II and was first playable in the Street Fighter Alpha series, which released in 1995. He is Guile’s commander and mentor, having thought him most of his prominent moves, such as the flash kick, Sonic Boom fireball, and double sweep kick. Guile, in fact, entered the Street Fighter tournament to avenge the supposed death of Charlie, who apparently died during the events of Street Fighter Alpha 3, presumably in an explosion. MUST SEE: Street Fighter 5 Revealed Only for the PlayStation 4! He has also appeared in other fighting games such as the crossover X-Men vs. Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom 2. The Charlie we see in the teaser footage looks a bit peculiar. For one thing, he has a gem-like object on his forehead, similar to that donned by Gill and Urien from Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike. Like the two bosses, could he be in some way associated with the Illuminati? Inquiring minds want to know... While we expect Charlie to fight much the same way he has always fought, we wouldn’t be surprised if Capcom gave him some new moves to better distinguish him from Guile. See Charlie's reveal in the video below and let us know if you're happy to see him in Street Fighter 5. Leave a comment. [youtube]
