Publisher Ubisoft has released what is possibly the most comprehensive trailer of Assassin’s Creed Unity to date. Essentially a condensed Assassin’s Creed Unity 101 guide, the video covers pretty-much everything (the major things, at least) there is to know about the third-person, stealth-focused open-world game, including the crowd AI in Paris; improved combat; appearances by famous historical characters like Napoleon and the Marquis de Sade; and new co-op multiplayer mode. If you miss all the other videos, don’t worry -- this is probably the one you’ve been waiting for. It even shows the strange instance in which Arno gets transported in Paris during World War 2. You play as Arno Dorian in the single-player story, a native Frenchman out to expose the true powers behind the Revolution. Arno gets adopted at a very you age when his biological father -- an Assassin -- was killed. Unbeknownst to him, his adoptive family holds a senior position within the Templar Order, with his new father serving as the Templar Grandmaster. Arno blames himself when his adoptive father is murdered, and, as a result, sets out on a quest of redemption that brings him into the Brotherhood of Assassins, where he slowly rises through the ranks, much like Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad and Ezio Auditore in the previous games. The young Frenchman falls in love with a Templar named Elise De LaSerre, the daughter of his Templar Grandmaster adoptive father. Elise also sets out to investigate more about her father’s death and its role in a growing ideological change within the Templar Order that threatens its core values. Gameplay wise, Assassin’s Creed Unity retains the series’ third-person open world exploration, but introduces an improved melee combat and stealth system. It is the first Assassin’s Creed game to have co-op multiplayer, which lets up to four players engage in narrative-driven missions and explore the open-world map. To see how the story unravels in Assassin’s Creed Unity and enjoy the new co-op multiplayer with your friends, you will need a PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Assassin’s Creed Unity is not available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.
