The Animus has connected to the world of Final Fantasy, and we’re not joking one bit!
Square Enix has partnered up with Ubisoft to bring Assassin’s Creed content, costumes, and gameplay mechanics to Final Fantasy 15.
No, I am not making any of this up.
Things kick off on August 30 with Final Fantasy 15 giving Noctis a new costume if you’ve collected the Dream Egg from the Moogle Chocobo Carnival. Lestalium transforms to celebrate the “Assassin’s Festival”, the next day, adding to the game collectible items and NPCs in altered costumes.
Final Fantasy 15 also benefits from some new Assassin’s Creed-related story content, as well as new gameplay systems that let you climb buildings as though Noctis were actually Ezio.
This actually no the first time that Assassin’s Creed content has appeared in a Final Fantasy game, but it might just be the most extensive. It will be interesting to see if Final Fantasy makes its way into the the Assassin’s Creed Universe, with Noctis and friends jumping into the Animus.
