With the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot performing so well in theatres, it was only a matter of time before video game companies moved hastily to capitalize on the movie's success. One such company is Activision, and it has just announced a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game called "Danger of the Ooze". Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of Ooze is a fast-paced, side-scrolling action beat 'em up that takes place between the second and third seasons of the Nickelodeon animated series. Developed by Wayforward Technologies, the studio behind Silent Hill: Book of Memories and Duck Tales Remastered, it's described as blending classic 2D fighting and platforming with the 3D art from the TV show. As the story goes, "Shredder, Tiger Claw and a new army of mutants threaten the streets of New York, forcing Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo to take action into their own hands." Danger of Ooze has a vast, interconnected, non-linear game world that rewards exploration and creative thinking. Players will be able to switch between all four Turtles freely while kicking ass, with each having their own unique rhythm, specialized stats, strengths and skills. They will also have access to several powers, upgrades and equipment scattered across the game world (New York and Dimension X). Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of Ooze will be released on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo 3DS before the end of 2014.
