The long-awaited Warcraft movie is set to arrive in early 2016, and though there are currently no plans for a second movie, director Duncan Jones says it is a possibility. “I know that my job in this first film is to establish certain characters, places and culture while telling a story that a broad audience can be excited by!” Jones said when asked about plans for another movie that further explores the game’s rich story. “Hopefully, if I have done my job right, people will want to know and see more! There is certainly plenty more to tell!…I would love to be part of that process of expanding on the lore that makes up Warcraft, but it will depend on what you, the audience, think of our first film!” MUST SEE: Here are the Actors, Actresses and Characters of the Warcraft Movie Closely based on the popular franchise, the Warcraft movie will be an origin tale about the first encounter between the humans and the orcs. It will place an emphasis on both the Alliance’s and Horde’s side of the conflict, with a number of locations from the Warcraft universe being featured. Key stars include Travis Fimmel, Toby Kebbell, Dominic Cooper, and Paula Patton. While the film will likely be PG-13, Jones says that rating will not keep it from being dark and serious. There will be a strong mix of computer-generated imagery and live-action scenes, with the orcs being physically portrayed by actors to make them as emotive as the human characters. Filming for the Warcraft movie began on January 13, 2014. If all goes according to plan, it will release on March 11, 2016. Do you plan on watching it?
