Ubisoft CEO Says Nintendo NX is “Fantastic,” Offers Different Experience

Nintendo hasn’t revealed anything tangible about the NX, but several developers that have seen it have expressed optimism for the new console, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot being one.

In an interview with IGN, Guillemot said the Nintendo NX is “a fantastic machine” that should give gamers a “different experience from what exists today.” More than that, it’s “easy to use for all gamers” and has a “very attractive” interface:

“They have built in something that will give us chance to really have a different experience from what exists today. That’s what I like – that they come with something new that is adapted to what we actually want now.”

Pokemon boss Tsunekazu Ishihara previously stated that the NX will change the concept of what it means to be a “console device or a hand-held device,” a sentiment clearly echoed by Guillemot.

When asked if the NX would thread in Wii territory, Ubisoft’s head honcho replied:

“It’s difficult to answer that [before NX is revealed]. What we see is that Nintendo has learned from the Wii U. All publishers learn from what they do, and then come with something new and more attractive, which I think is the case here.”

The wait for the Nintendo NX seems endless, but reports claim it will be released sometime in March 2017.

What are you praying it will be and won’t be?
