Halo Nightfall movie

Halo fans, this is what you’ve been waiting for — the first trailer for Halo: Nightfall.

Set between the events of Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians, Halo: Nightfall is a five-part digital series produced by Ridley Scott, the mastermind behind Prison Break. It follows an origin story of legendary manhunter Jameson Locke (Mike Colter) and his team of Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) agents as “they are caught in a horrific terrorist attack while investigating terrorist activity on the distant colony world of Sedra.” Forced to coordinate with a Sedran commander with a deep-rooted mistrust of ONI, they are eventually drawn to an ancient artifact that forces them to “fight for their survival, question everything, and ultimately choose between their loyalties and their lives.”

New Concept Art of Mass Effect Andromeda Revealed

Mass Effect Andromeda, Alien World

BioWare was present at San Diego Comic-Con 2015, bringing along some details on and a new concept art of Mass Effect: Andromeda.

According to Segment Next, Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Senior Development Director Chris Wynn revealed some ‘secret stuff’ to a selected number of showgoers to get feedback on how to make a better game.

The ‘select few’ are apparently sworn to secrecy, and surprisingly haven’t leaked anything noteworthy… yet. It’s only a matter of time…

DON’T MISS: Leveling Up In Mass Effect: Andromeda is an Incredible Experience

A concept art (shown above) simply called “Alien Worlds” has, however, found its way onto the internet and likely portrays a new planet that gamers will be able to explore.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will have many alien worlds to explore, all located in its namesake Andromeda galaxy. BioWare drew inspiration from Star Wars, Star Trek and other sci-fi space series.

Apart from the official trailer we got at E3 2015 (watch it here), not much has been revealed about Mass Effect: Andromeda, but all signs point to a planet-hopping, open-word adventure that will suck hours of your life.

Mass Effect 4 will Release in 2016 or Later, New Details

Published

on

Mass Effect Mako Exploration

Forget about the ridiculous early rumors, Mass Effect 4 isn’t coming out until at least 2016. That’s right, along with other details, EA announced at Comic-Con that the next installment in the Mass Effect series will not be rushed.

That there should tell fans of the franchise that an epic RPG adventure is coming their way, one with a solid beginning, middle and ending.

As expected, the story will be set in an entirely new region of space and revolve around a new protagonist (a human) and his/her team, allowing BioWare to re-imagine the universe. Commander Shepard and his/his companions will not be returning, although there will be nods to their past adventures.

Not playable in Mass Effect 2 and 3, the Mako will be back sleeker and faster than ever before, suggesting the possible return for planet-based exploration. In fact, it may play a bigger role in the new Mass Effect than it did in the original, with players able to extensively customize the vehicle.

If you’re concerned about Mass Effect 4 being an entirely different game than the first three, don’t be. It will be the same type of game, featuring a rich and beautiful world filled with tough decisions, romance options, and great battles. Should you want to play with a friend, there will be cooperative multiplayer.

If you’re as excited as we are about the new Mass Effect, head to the comments and let us know what you hope to see.
