Rise of the Tomb Raider PS4 Coming in Holiday 2016, PC in Early 2016

New Tomb Raider Lara Croft

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a timed Xbox One-exclusive, meaning that it will also release on the PS4 and PC at a later date. In fact, the PS4 version of the latest Tomb Raider game releases in holiday 2016, while the PC version comes out in early 2016.

There was a lot of controversy when Rise of the Tomb Raider was first announced as an Xbox One and Xbox 360 exclusive. Publisher Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics were quiet on the topic and only revealed the timed-exclusivity a few months after, trolling gamers essentially.

DON’T MISS: Watch First Gameplay Trailer for Rise of the Tomb Raider

In a press release, Square Enix stated that the “latest title in the critically acclaimed and award-winning Tomb Raider series, Rise of the Tomb Raider, will be available for Windows 10 and Steam in early 2016. The game will be a console exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360 for one year after its initial launch, coming to PlayStation 4 (PS4) in Holiday 2016.”

Rise of the Tomb Raider is set after the events of the 2013 reboot of the long-running franchise and tells the story of how Lara Croft became the daring adventurer we have come to love. It’s bigger than any Tomb Raider game before it and offers a different take on the series.

Rise of the Tomb Raider launches on November 10th, 2015, on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with the PC version following a few months later in early 2016 and the PS4 version a year later in Holiday 2016. Is it your kind of game?

This Is Mortal Kombat 11’s Official Cover, What Do You Think?

Published

Mortal Kombat 11 official Cover art with Scorpion

It’s familiar, but different; simpler, but engaging.

Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon has revealed the official cover art for Mortal Kombat 11, and its of little surprise that it only features Scorpion.

Compared to Mortal Kombat 10, the overall design is brighter and simpler, featuring a yellow, hot background that surprisingly works well with Scorpion’s yellow outfit.

Scorpion’s pose is imposing, and its interesting that NetherRealm chose go with the more modern version of the character rather than the classic one that appeared in the reveal trailer.

Mortal Kombat 11 releases on April 23, 2019 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.

What do you think about the cover art? Better yet, what’s you favorite Mortal Kombat cover art of all time? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Epic Games Store New Return Policy Allows Unlimited Refunds, But…

Published

Gamers get more leniency and a simplified verification process.

Epic has updated the Epic Games Store’s return policy to make it more competitive with other digital storefronts.

With the old policy, you were allowed just two refunds per year, but now everyone has unlimited refunds within 14 days of purchase and with under two hours played.

The Epic Games Store doesn’t have a “self-service” solution, at least not yet, so you will have to go through Customer Support to request a refund.

A change was also made to the verification process for receiving a refund. Customers no longer have to provide their IP address, last four digits of the card used, account creation date, and other information if the return meets the set criteria, though a contact form will still need to be used.

Epic plans to add more regional pricing options to the store. There are currently 30 different regions available, encompassing a total of 130 countries.

What could Valve be working on?

After leaving the company in February 2017, Half-Life 2 and Portal co-writer Eric Wolpaw has returned to Valve.

Shack News confirmed the writer’s return after finding his name listed in the credits for Valve card game Artifact. This would mean Wolpaw joined sometime in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Jay Pinkerton, another writer that left with Wolpaw, has also returned to the company, but it’s not known what the two are working on.

Whether its the rumored Half-Life VR or some other project, for Valve to successfully entice two of its writers back into the fold, it must be working on something exciting.

What are the chances it’s Half-Life 3?
