Watch Killer Instinct Season 2’s Final Boss, ARIA, Fight

Aria, Killer Instinct Season 2 boss

The final boss of Killer Instinct Season 2, Aria, has finally received a gameplay video, and she is without question one of the most interesting and best-animated characters in the Xbox One-exclusive fighting game. We finally get to see her fight.

Aria is one very unique character. Unlike the other Killer Instinct fighters, all of who only have one gameplay variation, the Ultratech CEO has three! That’s right, like Mortal Kombat X, she’s three fighting variations that you can choose from. However, unlike Mortal Kombat X, you can actually use all three during the fight, switching (warping) between them as you please.

More specifically, Aria has 3 body types — Booster, Blade, and Base — that each give her access to different attacks and traits. She is also the only fighter to have three health bars, which if added up, amount to the full health bar of everyone else’s in the game.

In other words, instead of having her health split into 2 bars (one for each round), it is divided into 3 smaller ones. You must deplete all 3 health bars (i.e. defeat all three of her ‘bodies’) to completely defeat her, making for a very interesting and engaging fight.

The following video describes Aria in more detail. Watch it and let us know if she is a good fit for Killer Instinct.

New N7 Day Mass Effect Andromeda Trailer is Intense, See it

The new N7 Day Mass Effect Andromeda trailer that fans have been impatiently waiting for is finally here, and it’s intense.

We get to see more scripted and in-game footage of the game world, as well as ‘brother’ Ryder, his alien crew and what appears to be the main villain in action. It might have also confirmed the existence of Salarians in Andromeda.

The Andromeda Initiative recruitment page has been updated to coincide with the trailer’s release. It shows the user’s login details with the year 2184… the year just before the events of Mass Effect 2.

The Andromeda Initiative is scheduled to launch in 2185, the year Commander Shepherd returns from the dead (the beginning of Mass Effect 2). Three Ark ships, each containing three different species in cryo stasis, will leave the Milkyway for the new galaxy, with plans to wake up the occupants 600 years later.

Judging by the trailer, things don’t go according to plan.

Mass Effect Andromeda launches for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC in Spring 2017. Are you excited for the new adventure?

As promised, Rockstar Games has dropped the first trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, and what little it shows will surely get fans of the series excited.

Everything looks to be generated in-game (no CGI). The fully-detailed environment, bison, canoes, stagecoaches, steam trains, chickens, oil fields and cowboys … There will be a lot to see and do in this breathing, living world …

Here’s the initial description of the game, taken straight from its official website:

“Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.”

Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on the Xbox One and PS4 in fall 2017. Are you excited for it?

Nintendo Switch Revealed! It Will be a Hit [Video]

Published

Nintendo has finally revealed its news video game hardware, and it is called Nintendo Switch. It releases in March 2017.

Switch is a fitting name for the project that has for the longest time been known as the Nintendo NX, but is it as cool as the “Duo” moniker that was rumored?

Nintendo seems to have learned something from its struggles with the Wii U, with the Switch marking a significant shift in its stance. The company has always been about reinvention, and this is them trying their luck once again after the dual-screen gameplay that made the DS a hit failed to translate to home machines by way of the Wii U.

Watch the announcement trailer and let us know what you think …

Confirming the slew of rumors that preceeded the system’s announcement, the Switch combines the handheld and home console businesses of Nintendo and can be used at home on a TV as a traditional home console or as a mobile gaming device that can be taken away and played anywhere like the 3DS.

This fusion is an interesting, albeit smart business move, that brings Nintendo’s first party development houses under one piece of hardware. That’s to say the company’s myriad of teams only have to create one game for a single platform that serve both purposes, saving time and money.

We can now see why the boss of Ubisoft was so giddy about it

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be the first major Nintendo Switch game, and a new Mario and Pokemon are expected to arrive within the first few months of its launch in March 2017.

The next Sonic the Hedgehog will also release on the Switch and will be joined by such titles as Dragon Quest, Skyrim, Mario Kart, NBA 2K and Splatoon.

Judging by everyone’s reaction, the Nintendo Switch is a portable gamer’s dream come true. Are you excited for it? Will you be getting it? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
