The next Mass Effect is my most anticipated game of the new generation so any news regarding it is big news. In a recent tweet, BioWare cinematic director Ken Thain gave us a small glimpse into the making of Mass Effect 4 (or whatever it’ll be called), and it has me excited.

Thain shared a photo showing off some the motion capture being used to bring the expanded world of Mass Effect to life. As a reminder, the next Mass Effect will be significantly larger than Mass Effect 3, but will not add any new content to the Shepard trilogy. It will have a new storyline unfamiliar to most fans of the series.

Expect new alien worlds and species, not all of which will be friendly; more exploration with Mako; better combat; and a more immersive dialog system. In fact, expect more and better of everything…
Chris Schlerf, the lead writer for Halo 4, is in charge of putting together the script, so we are likely in for an extra special storyline.
Aside from that, not much is known about the next Mass Effect. An official title and release date have not been revealed, but reports claim it could hit store shelves in the second quarter of 2016.
Unfortunately, the picture shared by Thain didn’t reveal much, though it is reassuring that development of “Mass Effect 4” is well on its way.
