Yet another Assassin’s Creed: Unity trailer has landed, this time focusing on the game’s main characters. In it, we see Ubisoft’s voice actors discuss their respective characters in Assassin’s Creed Unity and what we can expect from them.
Dan Jeannotte voices protagonist Arno Dorian and describes him as a “young punk” who becomes a freedom fighter during the French Revolution after joining the Assassin Order, but we already knew that…
The next character to be discussed is Elisse de la Serre, Arno’s childhood friend. Elisse comes off as a playful and sometimes reckless character; however, her relationship with Arno turns romantic during the main story of Assassin’s Creed Unity, which is complicated by the fact that she becomes a Templar. Moreover, she is on a mission to avenge the death of her father.
A lesser but still important character is Marquis de Sade, a libertine and one of Arno’s allies. He is known for his erotic literature and surprisingly calculating mind, which Arno puts to good use during his quest.
Since we’re on the topic of the French Revolution, Assassin’s Creed Unity features one key figure that everyone should be familiar with — Napoleon Bonaparte! Brent Skagford, the actor who voices him, describes the (future) French military and political leader as a very intelligent man who uses the command of the language to influence people in order to get what he wants.
Maximilien de Robespierre is another key figure of the French Revolution and is most famous for his bloody Reign of Terror following the fall of the French monarchy. He is the primary antagonist for the game and is viewed by Arno as a pretentious madman who will lead France into ruins.
